Q:
Would you be able to update the post for Elliot Page’s Umbrella Academy character? He has since been confirmed to be a trans man named Viktor.

Been sitting on this news for a while, but I have another (this one full-length!) poetry book coming out this fall! Pre-orders open soon, but in the meantime, please join me virtually on Wednesday 6/22 at 7pm PST for a reading and conversation on the topic of Claiming Yourself Through Storytelling.
Stories for When the Wolves Arrive is an exploration of fairy tales through the lens of trauma and healing. I am excited to share poems about women who go into the woods and come out changed, and depending on how the conversation goes, maybe share some of my own story that led to this collection.
When my cohort first introduced ourselves and our books together last winter, we joked that the overarching theme that binds all five collections is Underbelly. The more I’ve read these talented poets’ work, the more I know that’s true.
You can join us either via the facebook event or through the First Matter Press Website. I hope to see some of you there!
My debut chapbook (not the fairy tale collection, but keep your eyes open for news about that soon as well) is now available for preorder!
Out of Love in Spring contains 20 original poems written in my early twenties, detailing the pilgrimage of young adulthood through love, heartbreak, and coming into myself at a time of global pandemic. The poems in this collection are deeply personal and, at times, a little bit strange. It will be released on October 7, 2022.
For examples of what you might find in this book, here are two previously published poems that will be featured in this collection:

Q:
Maybe comic universe X-Men? Earth 616 has quite a lot canonical queer mutants (and other superheroes)
Hi! We would love it if you would submit the information for any comics characters. Because we don’t read them ourselves, it makes it very hard and confusing to find out character status, when their identity was confirmed, how many times they’ve died and if they stayed dead, etc.
