Marriage in Islam

In Islam, marriage is a legal contract (Literary Arabic: عقد القران ʻaqd al-qirān, "matrimony contract"; Urdu: نکاح نامہ‎ / ALA-LC: Nikāḥ-nāmah) between two people. Both the groom and the bride are to consent to the marriage of their own free wills. A formal, binding contract is considered integral to a religiously valid Islamic marriage, and outlines the rights and responsibilities of the groom and bride. There must be two Muslim witnesses of the marriage contract. Divorce (also called Tallaq in Arabic) is permitted and can primarily be issued by the groom. However, the bride also has the right to initiate the demand for the divorce. The actual rules of marriage and divorce (often part of Personal Status Laws) can differ from country to country, based on codified law and the school of jurisprudence that is largely followed in that country.

In addition to the usual marriage until death or divorce, there is a different fixed-term marriage known as zawāj al-mutʻah ("temporary marriage") permitted only by the Twelver branch of Shia Islam for a pre-fixed period. There is also Nikah Misyar, a non-temporary marriage with the removal of some conditions permitted by some Sunni Muslims, which usually amount to the wife waiving her right to sustenance from her husband.

Salma Agha

Salma Agha is a British singer and actress of Indo-Pak origin who sang as well as acted in Indian films in the 1980s and the early 1990s. Her first film was the romance Nikaah for which she won the Filmfare Best Female Playback Award for the ghazal "Dil Ke Armaan Aansuon Mein Beh Gaye".

Early life and career

Agha was born to Nasreen (born as Zarina Ghaznavi) and Liaqat Gul Aga. Her father was a successful businessman dealing in rugs. Her maternal grandparents are actor Jugal Kishore Mehra and actress Anwari Begum who starred in the first ever made Heer Ranjha (1932). Her maternal grandfather was Rafiq Ghaznavi. Nasreen was later adopted by Jugul Kishore Mehra, who converted to Islam and took on the name Ahmed Salman. Jugul Kishore Mehra was the cousin of Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor.

Personal life

Salma Agha was married to Pakistani squash player Rahmat Khan in 1999. They have two children together-Sasha Agha and Liaqat Ali Khan. In 2010, they got divorced. Agha got married to Manzar Shah in 2011.

Raj Babbar

Raj Babbar (Hindi: राज बब्बर, Punjabi: ਰਾਜ ਬੱਬਰ; born 23 June 1952) is a Hindi and Punjabi film actor since 1979 and politician belonging to Indian National Congress party. He unsuccessfully contested against Gen. V. K. Singh (Retd.) of BJP from Ghaziabad in 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Early life

Babbar was born in Tundla in vishwabrahmin family, uttar Pradesh on 23 June 1952. He is an alumnus of the 1975 batch of National School of Drama and graduated from Agra College. Schooling was done from Faiz-E-Aam Inter college Agra

Career

He trained in the Method school of acting at NSD, which is involved in Street Theatre. After his training in New Delhi he moved to Mumbai and started his film career with Reena Roy, one of the well known actresses of that time. He gained fame for the movie 'Insaaf Ka Taraazu', in which his was a portrayal of a rapist, who assaults the heroine and later his sister, and in the end, gets shot for his deeds.

He became a consistent feature of the B. R. Chopra banner; Nikaah with Deepak Parashar and Salma Agha, Aaj Ki Aawaz with Smita Patil.

Deepak Parashar

Deepak Parashar is an India-based model and actor.

Early life

He was born in Pune, India on 2 April 1952 to Shobha & Vishvanath Parasher.

Career

Deepak Parashar appeared in soap opera Kahiin To Hoga, and donned the "royal robes" of a Mughal badshah in the costume drama Chandramukhi

In 1976 he was crowned very first Mr India/India Prince (A Personality Contest) along with Nafisa Ali as Miss India and Poonam Dhillon as Miss Delhi.He was a successful model for Vimal Suitings and for many years Super Bazar in New Delhi donned his photograph. In the early 1980s Parashar took several Hindi cinema roles, including Sharaabi, Insaaf Ka Tarazu, Nikaah, Purani Haveli (film) and Aap to Aise Na They. Till date Nikaah remains his best performing movie and Insaaf ka Tarazu one of the best supporting roles he played. In 2006 he appeared in reality TV show Bigg Boss, until he was evicted in the second week. He also appeared in Doordarshan TV serial Swabhiman as Mahendra Malhotra.
