Beautiful spider plants for sale or trade for other houseplants. These are the "Shamrock" or "Ocean" cultivar of Chlorophytum comosum, aka the Spider Plant or Ribbon Plant. You truly do not see these types very often in nurseries (they usually stock the variegated or zebra cultivars). I propagate them to give to friends and call them Friend Plants :) But I've given away all that I can and still have a dozen left!

Spider plants are popular house plants, in part because they're extremely easy to care for: pretty much just water them once a week and give 'em a sunnyish window to live in. They're not picky about water quality or temperature, easily tolerating areas that get down very close to freezing or extremely hot (say between about 35 degrees and 90 degrees F). You can't kill them if you try! Also, a NASA study showed that they clean your house's air, so that's a wonderful plus!

The price is negotiable. I'd be offering them for free if it wasn't for the price of the pots and the high-grade potting soil they're planted in. If you want one in a fancy pot instead of a plastic one, that is also negotiable but will come at a couple dollars more. For $2, you get one spider plant that's about 5-10 inches tall in a 4-inch plastic nursery pot.
