Update as I had a few people asking me about this issue.

For recap, Nvidia announced a promotion for new purchases of RTX cards that would include a $40 bonus code for Overwatch 2. No code was included with my purchase of the 4070 FE so I contacted Best Buy, who after being escalated to tier 2 stated the card is not part of the promotion and to take it up with Nvidia. They also told me they had many people call in about this issue so I wasn’t the only one. A few users on this sub also told me they purchased variants of the 40xx line up with no code so they were interested in my resolution.

After 3 weeks of back and forth with Nvidia, providing all the info they required (asking for proof of purchase, chat logs with BB, Best Buy’s term of promotion), the issue was escalated to Tier 2 who stated my purchase qualifies but there’s nothing they can do. Wow, great customer service and a waste of my time. Why ask for all my info just to be told there is nothing they can do anyways?

I ended up returning the card on the last day of the return period, and buying from MicroCenter as they currently offer a $100 bonus on top of the $40 code. Everything was included, no issues whatsoever.

Overall, pretty bad customer service between both parties.
