For context, I’m 6’7, about 250 if I’m being nice to myself. I had a J crew field jacket from a while back, but sadly don’t fit it anymore. I was looking around for good green m65 type jackets and didn’t see any on the main sites I usually use, like j crew, banana republic, and gap, and then I discovered Barbour. I definitely fell completely down the rabbit hole, and was perhaps aided by recent ancestry research into the British side of my family. I decided on this Beaufort because it was allegedly longer, and as a very tall person, I thought that would be nice. It’s honestly really roomy and great, my only real gripe is it isn’t very “olive” seeming so much as almost brown. Not at all like the light green used ones I saw on eBay. I decided to not get used just in case I needed to make a hasty return, but am pretty satisfied overall. Please forgive my jeans in the pic, they’re my errand running/housework/gardening jeans, not necessarily my most fitted pair.

Edit: to add on: the jacket doesn’t feel bad with a t shirt underneath, unlike what I’ve read. Yes, the “breathability” isn’t great, but it’s a military/hunting jacket, I wouldn’t think that would be relevant. The amount of pouches are kind of fun. The “game” pouch aka ass pouch doesn’t make too much sense to me, but maybe I can find a use for it yet. I appreciate it has moleskine upper pockets and also the flap pockets, either of which I can fit my hands snugly into. The zipper will take some getting used to, but overall, I’m really looking forward to wearing this a lot when the weather cools down (I’m in the Midwest), and also work a university job, and am over the moon about styling this with work fits. Cheers everyone!

Disclaimer update: this is the "Classic Beaufort" style, not just the "Beaufort" model, sorry for not specifying.
