This is not the fall update but it will set us up with continuous access until then.
Everyone, and I mean everyone, should be getting Novavax as a booster because we're learning a lot more about Matrix-M, how it is made with saponins and how they boost our innate immune system.

It could very well fix the immunodysfunction that were seeing in Long COVID not only because of its immune boosting on paper but also anecdotal reports from Twitter.
Even the H5N1 vaccine with Matrix-M has really great data supporting it...

Hopefully, now that the US government has announced they are considering allowing folks to get a second bivalent booster, I'm hoping that conversation will include allowing greater Novavax access.
And, don't let people tell you it doesn't work against XBB, it does... the same chart, which is not based on a single study but a collection of different data, that shows Novavax having a lowered efficacy against XBB showed that ALL the vaccines had a lower response... but the positive effect of Matrix-M is not measured via the serum tests that we've been using to demonstrate vaccine efficacy, though the sterilizing effect is probably off the table until we see that fall update.
So, if we are to compare the Bivalent against Novavax... The adjuvant makes Novavax the clear winner.
And getting it now will prime the Matrix-M response for that update where sterilizing immunity might get back on the table... Big if but they've managed it before.

Here is a complete list of CDC vaccines storage and administration errors:
COVID-19 Vaccine Administration Errors and Deviations
This is the guidelines for novavax storage:
Store between 2°C and 8°C (36°F and 46°F) until the expiration date.
Discard 6 hours after puncturing vial.
If it is stored below (frozen) or above that temperature, and/or used past the 6hrs after being opened it is considered to be a compromised dose….
As well, please make sure it is not an expired novavax vaccine…
The lot numbers should be as follows:
As the old batch (expired in February 2023) novavax number was 4302MF023
And another old batch (expired in April 2023) novavax number was 4302MF028
However, since April 2023 is past, there should be new novavax lot numbers whenever you get your novavax dose….
I don’t know what those new lot numbers are, but the two above are the ones that you definitely need to avoid…
If it is expired, it is considered to be a compromised dose too…
As well, here is the dosage that novavax should be administered at:
Dosage: 5 μg rS and 50 μg of Matrix-MTM adjuvant/0.5 mL Do NOT dilute.
If it is administered at the incorrect dosage (too little or too much), it is a compromised dose too.

Oh one more important thing I forgot to add….
Make sure it is a novavax and not a mrna (moderna) or viral vector (johnson and johnson) vaccine that you are actually receiving….
All three of these covid vaccines have the exact same dosage amounts at (0.5 ml)…
So thus the possibility of errors with the actual vaccine type can happen…
Confirm accordingly before the vaccine is administered…..
