Monitor recommendation for my build (7600x / 7800 xt) under $250
r/buildapcmonitors

What type of Monitor should I purchase? 16:9 or 21:9 - or even wider?! 1080p or 4k? 60hz or 144hz - or 360hz?! All these questions and more can be answered here.

Monitor recommendation for my build (7600x / 7800 xt) under $250

I'm doing a rebuild after my 10 year old rig died on me. I spent a fair bit of time researching parts and decided on an AMD build.

Ryzen 5 7600x & Radeon RX 7800 xt 16GB

My monitors are old: a 10 yr old 1080p/60Hz Asus and an 8 yr old 1440p/100Hz Quix (DVI only), so it's past time for an upgrade on that front as well.

I'm currently leaning towards the Acer Nitro XV272U V3bmiiprx ($220 on Amazon). I saw the Dell G2724D is available for $200 from their website as well. What has me leaning towards the Acer are the built-in speakers (it's nice to not always wear headphones), the frequency it's mentioned here as a recommended budget option, less 1 star Amazon reviews than the Dell, and the higher ratings on rtings.com. I also had considered the M27Q.

I know a $250 budget might bottleneck my build a bit. I'm hoping I can get a nicer monitor in the future and make this my secondary in a few years. I like that the Acer is able to be oriented as portrait for that purpose. Looking for feedback on these two monitors or other options!
