At the shop I work at we carry some genuine futures fins that are just plastic that we sell for $15 each. That’d be your best bet for something cheap but as other mentioned you can always go on Aliexpress too

I tried one and for me the thing I didn’t like was the paddling. For some reason even though it has a lot of volume it just didn’t feel like it glided as well between strokes and I didn’t feel like I was getting the most out of each paddle stroke. That being said it was really fun once I got on the wave so it’s definitely got pros and cons in my opinion

I grew up in sonoma county and now live in San Francisco so I’ve got some experience with all those breaks. Salmon creek is a great beach break and depending on the year it can have some incredible bars, it can get heavy there but not quite as much as ocean beach in my opinion. Dillon beach can be some fun longboard waves, especially towards the south end of the beach and is a great place to learn. In the winter you can surf a bar called Shark Pit or Baby Shark put in the middle of Tomales bay, Doran can either be a heavy close out or the tiniest ankle biters. All fun spots

I picked up a used Al Merrick 7’3 by 2.25 by 19.5 super drawn in and easy to duck dive but crazy fast it’s been super fun for OBSF and some of the surrounding breaks when it gets from like 8-12 ish feet

I don’t know if this was recent or not but there’s a website called Surfline that I get my forecasts from, it’s pretty cool you can see incoming swells, wind, tide all from up to 16 days out
