My thoughts, too.

He has passed his prime but he is still one of the best DMs in the world right now. I think he would make a great back up/rotator at the very least.

Watch him be lauded after he leaves Barca again, especially if he goes to PL.

I think the main issue is his salary. He is on 700K/week. That's almost double the highest paid player in Man U (De Gea & Sancho).
