Sinon

In Greek mythology, Sinon (Greek: "Σίνων", from the verb "σίνομαι"—sinomai, "to harm, to hurt") a son of Aesimus (son of Autolycus), or of the crafty Sisyphus, was a Greek warrior during the Trojan War.

Aeneid

In the Aeneid, he pretended to have deserted the Greeks and, as a Trojan captive, told the Trojans that the giant wooden horse the Greeks had left behind was intended as a gift to the gods to ensure their safe voyage home. He told them that the horse was made so big that the Trojans would not be able to move it into their city, because if they did they would be invincible to later Achaean invasion. His story convinced the Trojans because it included the former details as well as an explanation that he was left behind to die by the doing of Odysseus who was his enemy. The Trojans brought the Trojan Horse into their city against the advice of Cassandra (given the gift of prophecy by Apollo, but condemned to never be believed for not returning his love) and Laocoön (because two serpents came out of the water and strangled him and his sons, which the Trojans saw as a punishment for attacking the horse with a spear). Inside the giant wooden horse were Greek soldiers, who, as night fell, disembarked from the horse and opened the city gates, thus sealing the fate of Troy. He was also an Achaean spy who told the Greeks when the soldiers in the horse had begun their fight.

The following is a list of characters from the light novel, anime, IDW comics and manga series Sword Art Online. Most of the characters are introduced as gamers who play and consequently become trapped in a virtual reality massively multiplayer online role-playing game (VRMMORPG). Kirito

The main protagonist of Sword Art Online, Kazuto, who uses the portmanteau "Kirito" as his character name, is a "solo" player who has been branded a "beater" (a combination of beta tester and cheater) by the players in Sword Art Online. When Kayaba announces that the players of SAO can no longer log-out without clearing the game, he quickly overcomes the shock. He power-levels to improve his odds of survival in the game and emerges as a frontline floor-clearer known as the Black Swordsman (黒の剣士, Kuro no Kenshi), during this time Kirito experiences great trauma following the destruction of a small guild he had joined for some time, causing him to avoid guilds until he was forced to join the Knights of the Blood Oath. It is later revealed that he possessed the unique «Dual Blades» skill for being the player with "fastest reaction time" as well as the player that will supposedly beat the 100th floor boss. During his 2 years of being trapped in SAO, he fell in love with a female player named Asuna and even went as far as marrying her in-game.

3391 Sinon

3391 Sinon is a Jupiter Trojan asteroid that orbits in the L₄ Lagrangian point of the Sun-Jupiter system, in the "Greek Camp" of Trojan asteroids. It was named after the Greek hero Sinon, who was a warrior during the Trojan War. It was discovered by Hiroki Kosai and Kiichiro Hurukawa at the Kiso Observatory in Japan on February 18, 1977.
