Recently had some water damage and what looks to be MDF has had its top layer peeled off. How do I go about repairing this without replacing the whole thing?

I was thinking of tearing the entire outer layer off and screwing thin plywood over it, then painting. Would this work?

Dryer lint collecting outside by the dryer vent. Cause for concern?

Hey folks. I've never seen this before so wondering if this is normal. Some background, some months back I noticed that the dryer vent was not connected to the dryer and I had to put it back on, and I noticed this because the wall behind the dryer was covered in lint. Now I guess it's going outside! Shouldn't this be caught by the lint trap?

Shed venting and insulating ceiling

I've read that baffles really only work if you have a combination of soffit vents and ridge vents, but it looks like our shed only has a ridge vent. There are no gables or any other vents that I can find and the ceiling already has some type of membrane running across it. My question is, are the baffles even needed, do we need to change our approach, or are we fine to just insulate over that ceiling membrane?

We're using paper-faced fiberglass batts for everything except some thinner areas where we plan to use a closed cell foam board. I already have some foam baffles and was just going to put them up anyways, but I also don't want to causes any issues down the line with mold/ mildew.

Water Damaged Cornice

Hi Guys,

This is a follow up post to my Water Damaged ~~MDF~~ particle board post (https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY/comments/12my5zb/water_damaged_mdf/).

I have another question about the damaged cornice (I should have added this originally).

Do you reckon I can stick it back on with joint compound/adhesive or will I need to replace it?

If a replacement is needed, do I trace the outline of the cornice and get a copy section of it made?

Trailer Wiring Harness Problem

My Dad and I were picking our trailer up and noticed that sometimes the lights would be powered and work and then they would randomly shut off. We were wondering if it was a problem with our 4 pins on the part that connects to the harness or if it was a bulb issue. How would we fix this?
