I once asked a bartender if she could the music down. I knew right then that I was old lol

What's your trick to eating less? by Gilem_Meklos in AskReddit

Meal prepping might help. That way your meals are already portioned out for you when it's time to eat. Maybe using smaller bowls or plates. Making less food.

It’s 3 am, you’re asleep next to your SO but you wake up to hear them watching x rated videos & getting off. How do you feel about it? by ThisThatSomething in AskWomen

[–]Just_J3ssica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time this would bother me is if I had tried to initiate sex and was turned down... If I was ready and willing, but he preferred getting off alone to porn?... Time to reevaluate the relationship and leave.

I've had friends who view masturbation as cheating. I don't get that. I consider myself realistic. I won't always be available, and our moods won't always match. As long as I'm not being denied - have at it!

I listen to Sinisterhood for this very reason. One of the women is a lawyer too, so she explains the trials and decisions regarding the cases.

Not every episode is true crime, so you're not overwhelmed with depressing or traumatic crime stories. They switch it up with cryptids, hauntings and other mysteries.

What year(s) did you consider your prime and why? by lemonpprallflats in AskOldPeople

[–]Just_J3ssica 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My late twenties and all of my thirties. I was growing up, settling down and getting out of the binge kind of drinking we did in and fresh out of college. Iwas getting better about my own body and health and was finally in a career and making real money. Between looking and feeling great and the money, I was on top of the world. Now I'm in my 40's and I guess I'm kinda boring now lol.

What are some of the best true crime podcasts and why? by Embarrassed-Fig822 in AskReddit

[–]Just_J3ssica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sinisterhood. One of the hosts is a lawyer and she gives great sight into the court cases. They have some banter, but both women are comedians, so they're funny.

Wine and Crime. It's 3 women who drink while each covering a different crime for the chosen topic that day. They're funny too.

Morbid. Early morbid episodes were great for the story telling, research and giving all the details. They've changed a little over the years and I'm kinda losing interest. :/

This Is Monsters. 1 guy telling a shortened version of a crime. There is something soothing about his voice and he gets right to the point.

Big Mad True Crime. 1 woman who tells full-length versions of a crime. Her research is amazing and there is zero banter because only 1 host.

Are there any true crime podcasts that go through the gory details without sugar coating them or glossing over them? by A_Right_Of_Passage in podcasts

[–]Just_J3ssica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morbid. Their earlier episodes were great. Alaina gave you gritty details with little to no sugar coating. Listen to episode 13 about torture. Or the episodes about the Salem witch trials, Countess Elziabeth Bathory or the toy box killer.

What are the best true crime podcasts for unsolved murders / missing persons cases? by Salem1690s in TrueCrimePodcasts

[–]Just_J3ssica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big Mad True Crime. She does mini episodes on missing people in between her normal episodes (that are sometimes about missing people as well).

Crime Junkie also does many episodes on the missing and unsolved.

what’s the male version of a cat lady? by Mindless-Problem1114 in AskReddit

A cat dad. He also has a lot of plants and wears a lot of sweaters.

I just picture Marty Huggins from the movie The Debate.

What's something that's getting hard to enjoy/put up with as you get older? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Just_J3ssica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drama. Town gossip. I find it hard to go out to visit with old friends, because there is always some drama between someone/anyone at the bar or restaurant and everyone sits around and talks sh*t about anyone that comes up in conversation.

Negativity in general, I guess.

Ruining a classic by remaking or adding a sequel decades later. Hocus Pocus, Footloose, Goonies, A Christmas Story, Ghost Busters, Lost Boys...

AITA for making my stepmother cry and walking away from her as she did? by Sad-Boysenberry5796 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Just_J3ssica -58 points-57 points  (0 children)

YTA. It sounds like Charlotte was nothing but nice and supportive to you. Yeah, maybe she was a little weird and pushy, but she didn't have kids of her own and probably didn't know how to interact with kids. Also, she was nice to your mom and tried to create a healthy relationship. She meant well, even if her kindness came off as odd.

You could have ended up with a stepmother who was mean and unresponsive to you, bad for you father and talked shit about your mom..

AITA for refusing to change my Halloween costume after already buying it? by Imaginary-Lack1465 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Just_J3ssica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Your dude is kinda controlling and kinda body shaming you. He should have complimented you and said he'd be happy standing next to and going home with such a beautiful girl.

And how insulting is it that he said "you're trying too hard"..

AITA for returning my stepdaughter's birthday gift because she didn't save a cupcake for my daughter? by stepdaughter52454 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Just_J3ssica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. His daughter excluded your daughter (her soon to be sister) intentionally just to be mean. I would not reward her blatant disrespect with such an expensive gift either.
