How do I talk to my nieces and nephews?

I was smashing it as the cool uncle, but I’ve been struggling since they all turned 4-7 as I have no idea what to talk to them about. I find myself asking them all the questions I hated being asked by adults when I was there age.

Be honest, how bitter are you about people who have more than you?

The feeling of envy, I understand and find normal. It’s the people who feel bitter that I’m interested to hear an honest account from.

For a while now, i get this feeling that a lot of UK redditors are unhappy people. And I’ve noticed a few things are guaranteed to rile up the majority. One is anything Jamie Oliver. The other is when a post suggests that the OP owns something.

Most of the time, we like to think they are shitting on the 1%. But most of the time, we are just shitting on ‘our own people’ who happens to be just a little more ahead.

For the record, I have fk all but have accepted it’s how the game works. I have no drive to reach my potential but admire the people who can do it in a honest manner.

Have you ever met an amazing person in passing ?

When I was 22 my ex of 6 years cheated on me, I moved flat, moved job, moved back in with my parents, had loads of changes and sadness that I couldn’t withstand at 5am I walked to my closest reservoir in an attempt to clear all my negative thoughts and boom an old lady pops up about half an hour later at around 6am and sits with me crying until 7am. She then carried about her day and I did mine. The loveliness and wisdom she gave me she will never know and if I was to see her again I would give her the biggest hug. Has this happened to any one else be it a lover or a stranger ?

How do you feel about the new uk alert system test? (23rd April 3pm)

All for it myself. But I know some people are dead against it and been fed some clickbait words. Such as it "locks your phone till you click it" etc. (It does not it's just like any other notification that needs acknowledgement)

Happy Thursday!

Is anyone specifically looking forward to doing anything or nothing (!) this long weekend!

I’m single, live on my own and tbh I cannot wait to literally chill, relax with no physical human contact and have me-time! I had an invite for Monday but it’s not looking likely I’ll attend tbh.
