Posts about Genshin Impact
It's not a secret that in 30 months of existence, many QoL features that should be expected have been found missing in Genshin Impact. The worst thing is that I have experienced the presence of these features in a gacha game myself when I started playing Honkai Impact 3rd in November 2021. Today, I'm rubbing salt into the wound by listing all these missing features that HoYoVerse knows how to implement. Of course, as a human being, I may be missing some of them, so if you see that I missed one of them, leave a reply and I will add it to the list with your username next to it.
Rolls counter: You can count it yourself by looking at the wish history in Genshin Impact, but when you consider that it takes around 1 hour to update it, that's an unnecessarily complicated thing to do. A simple wish counter would make things so much easier.
A Skip Dialogue button: Even as a story enjoyer, I cannot understand how this feature is still not present.
A quick access dialogue history button: You can say that Genshin Impact has a dialogue history option, but that is only in the archives menu and you need to complete the quest to see the new voicelines being added. That is very bad for immersion if you accidentally click too fast and so skip a voiceline because of that. Let these pictures show you how great of a feature this button is (don't worry, these lines aren't spoiler stuff):
Replayable story quests: In Honkai Impact 3rd, I can easily do something like going back to the Sea of Quanta missions if I ever need some context later on due to foggy memories. In Genshin Impact, YouTube is your only option. With how long the main story alone is and how much time it takes to release each act (no, I don't think it takes too much time), I would expect most players to require a refresh on important events.
Equipment loadouts: Yes, the most awaited feature in the whole game already exists in Honkai Impact 3rd. Look at how simple, yet powerful it is:
Detailed character trials: It's no secret that Genshin Impact's character trials are very bad at showcasing a character and explaining what said character does and how he/she does it. I see so many questions asking to explain how certain character talents work in Razor language (e.g. Mona's Burst) and this feature would be the life saver we need for such things:
There's also some icing on the cake: gear and lineup recommendations in another menu. It's pretty much always signature gear in Honkai, but that's because of how much powercreep the game has. Genshin Impact would be much more diverse.
This last picture is for Herrscher of Thunder's guide
This one took more time to come into the game, but it doesn't change the fact that they can do it.
Buffs indicators: Genshin Impact uses glowing arrows that show up around the character, but how do you know which buffs are applied and for how long they last? Look at how much better it can be:
Not seeing these features in Genshin Impact is a massive insult to the player base, because it shows that HoYoVerse knows how to implement these quality of life features and how valuable these features are. I really think that mentioning them in the next survey is important to do.
