Dogecoin pumped 25% in a few hours and so far then gave back much of these gains on Monday when Twitter changed their logo to the Dogecoin logo. The rest of the market has remained largely unchanged during the pump but fell as Dogecoin began to fall as well. It is ridiculous, very questionable and outright dangerous the influence that Elon Musk has.
On Dogecoin alone, the market saw liquidations of almost 10 Million on both longs and shorts, as shorts were liquidated on the way up and longs on the way down. A truly brutal day for dogecoin leverage players. Meanwhile most of the rest of the market, interestingly, just stood by and watched it all unfold changing little in their gains during the pump but started seeing some red as Dogecoin began to fall in price, though not nearly to the same degree as Dogecoin.
Dogecoin has managed to hold onto most of its gains till today after recovering somewhat. And the Twitter logo still remains the Dogecoin logo. When does it end?

Dogecoin the original memecoin will not surpass it's previous all time high price of $0.73 in the next bull run.
Lets look at the charts of eight cryptocurrencies including DOGE
It's already failed to do it once
2021 had two runs - one around May and the other around November. Most cryptocurrencies surpassed their previous high from May in November except Dogecoin, Monero and Litecoin.
Inflation, Inflation, Inflation
Every time a new block of transactions is added to the Dogecoin blockchain, 10,000 DOGE are mined. That’s about 14.4 million DOGE added per day, or about 5.26 billion per year. There are now roughly Ten billion more DOGE since it hit it's previous high of $0.73, that means it would need to reach a marketcap 7.2 billion dollars higher than May of 2021.
There is always another Dog Coin
New comers into the crypto space are looking to repeat the success stories they heard about with DOGE or Shiba investors and will probably buy another random shitcoin that has a much lower marketcap.
None of this should be taken as financial advice and I'm probably wrong about all of it, DOGE will probably become the next world reserve currency.
