Read the FAQ and search before posting.. Search the subreddit to see if topics have been covered already

Include a descriptive title. One or two word titles rarely provide enough information. Include the destination / area. When posting images: inspire us. Be original and provide travel context.

Clickbait, spam, memes, ads, brochures, surveys, vlogs, blogs or other self-promotion will be removed.

Tell us where you're starting, dates of travel, budget, interests, places you've been, things you like and dislike when asking for advice.

Visa and passport questions: state your country of citizenship.

Check to see if your question can be answered with a quick Google search. Similarly, call the airline, hotel, embassy, or other direct source.

Stay around to answer questions or respond to comments. This applies to all posts.

Questions should include the research already conducted - Google and the crowdsourced /r/travel FAQ are great places to start.

If you are asking for itinerary, airfare, price, routing help - you must present at least two options.

We are not your travel agents.

Keep it civil: no racism, negative stereotyping or politics.

While simple posts or links to gear or sites does not necessarily constitute advertising, avoid posting just for promotional or marketing purposes.
