Why's does the scorpion have such outdated firepower?

Seriously a 90mm smoothbore cannon? Those were only useful during ww2 and modern MBTs carry anything from 100-125mm.

For a tank that's five hundred years into the future and lore is that it's apparently so much better than every other tank that it's remained the main battle tank for around for 2 hundred years it's kinda pathetic.

I know the unsc doesn't have the most OP ground weapons but still weapon calibers that were outdated even before the vietnam era? 500 years in the future? Really.

Is there any good reason for it to be that underpowered?

What happened to the Infinity’s support fleet?

At the end of Forward Unto Dawn, we see a huge fleet of ships take off, apparently bound for Requiem, including dozens and dozens of cruisers and frigates accompanying the Infinity, as seen here.

But come Halo 4, only the Infinity is depicted. What happened to the enormous fleet (that should, by any measure, have whooped the Didact six ways to Sunday)? Did they get lost in Slipspace somehow?

Edit: On second thought, this seems to be a recurring theme, as for some reason the UNSC sends their flagship, the pride of their navy, to Requiem alone for a second time come Spartan Ops. I mean seriously, if you’re gonna be that careless with it it’s no wonder it got destroyed eventually.

Does anyone remember the spartan that didn't need armor?

So I don't remember exactly when or where I heard this, or who the Spartan's name was, but I seem to recall there being some sort of experimentally augmented Spartan that was so strong, she could match the performance of Spartan IV's without her suit on?

The augmentations made her go insane and rebel against the UNSC. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Maybe it was from some fanfic, but I'd like to find the full story, either way.

And on a somewhat related note, I believe there was some new model of Mjolnir that never became standard, it had something special with its shields (I believe it could shape them or allow the shields to overlap, more complex control) and actually repair the suit with nanobots, anyone know what this was called either?

I've tried finding it on YouTube, but it's hard to find either when I don't know the source or name of said lore lol. Thank you in advance :)

What does the average Swords of Sanghelios member think of humanity?

While we have a pretty good idea of how humanity was thought of by the Covenant, what does the average member of the Swords of Sanghelios think of the UNSC?

Is there any difference of opinion among the various races that make up the SoS?

How was Masterchiefs and Cortana's interactions like during downtime ?

Did they engage in banter ? Id imagine that for Cortana having nothing to do is agonizing and Chief doesn't talk much. Or how would you imagine it to be ?
