I think she’s also being a little naive about those real estate plans too. I assume since she’s estimating that she can get $1000 a week she’s planning on using it as a short term vacation rental-are there a lot of people looking to vacation in DR and also looking to stay somewhere other than a resort? There’s also probably going to be a lot more upkeep on a vacation rental than for a regular tenant. Plus she’s just assuming that it will be booked every single week of the year. A lot of places shut down in the Caribbean during hurricane season. And then of course there’s insurance-I bet hurricane insurance on an island isn’t cheap. Plus it’s not a question of if but when a hurricane will hit and what kind of damage she could be dealing with. Even if she avoids a total loss, it’s not like getting something fixed on the mainland. Everything to fix a place would have to be shipped to the island and I’m sure it takes a lot longer to rebuild. And she’s not even factoring in what taxes will take out of her profit! That idea of 50k/year pure profit and paying off 100k in 2 years is looking more and more like a pipe dream. Hard to believe she had the nerve to criticize Yohan’s business.
Plus…where will she live and what will she live on if she’s already borrowed against her retirement for this plan.
She acts like she needs her chakras adjusted, just saying. Her energy is just very needlessly hostile and angry as this season's new resident Karen. She is being the worst possible ugly American shitting on her own country while telling everyone in that country hosting her how they should do things exactly like they do in America, so I'm just not buying her storyline.
I love how she's so condescending with her "do I need to babysit you in detention?" nonsense. Um, Danielle? I couldn't help but notice that nowhere in your master plan do you mention paying off your massive debt.
So her bitchy little comments inferring everyone else is just too stupid to grasp her flawless logic just come off as clueless blather.

Ok so is there anyone who has her retirement system? In CA government employees can borrow against their pension but they can only do so if they are an active member which means employed. And most of them require that you pay it back if you quit, because they do not have the guarantee you will make the payments because they have no paycheck to automatically take the it out of.
I also find it weird she’s saying she gets 100k after 19 years given she barely makes over 100k WITH benefits, which means the actual cash value of her paycheck is far less (gov employee figures include costs of insurance premiums, training, benefits, etc.) Again, here in Cali you have to put much more time in to get that close to a percentage of your pay. There’s an actual math formula based on your years of service.
Bottom line: I think she’s full of it.
