Coinbase

So it actually happened. My entire account was wiped out. I’ve heard the warnings from everyone about needing to hold my coins on a hard wallet but I had those day trader aspersions. While in New Orleans for a bachelor party I either blacked out faster and harder than I ever have in my life or I was drugged at the strip club. Woke up in the lobby with no phone, ID or credit cards. I immediately called the credit card company to report the theft. I wasn’t too worried about my phone because I figured they couldn’t get passed my code. They must have seen me type it before they stole it. I had foolishly sent my login and security questions to my wife a few years ago just incase I suddenly died she would be able to get into my account. They got +6k out of my account. As well as maxing out credit and debit cards and whoever knows what else they can do with my identity information. Most of that can be fixed my reporting the fraud but from my limited understanding I assume the coins are gone. If anyone knows how to regain those let me know but until then I’m just trying not to think about it. I was lucky in many ways: I’ve only invested 7k 4 years ago and I pulled 8k out 2 years ago when everything was booming. So I was able to make a tiny profit out of this endeavor. I keep telling myself it’s a good thing I didn’t have more because they would have got that too. So if anyone knows how to handle this or if you just want to laugh at me go ahead because laughing is the only thing keeping me from crying.
