I’m about 1 week into being on the Tesla energy plan. As my previous post stated, I wasn’t happy about giving up some control of my batteries. I love the independence that solar/battery gives me and that is a hard thing to give up.

I’ve even had an incredibly helpful and informative phone conversation with Tesla where they helped me work out some of my mental kinks and gave me a thorough understanding of the system and plan.

Days like today, with $4/kwh buyback make it worth the plan. The fact that they trickle charge me low and pump out the watts when the price is high is great. The way I see it, I’m locked in to a price if I need grid but the variable buyback is something that swings in my favor.

So far, much happier with my choice and the fact I can dip out to a more “stable” plan is reassurance. I’m excited to see what will happen in the warmer months.
