These are just off the top of my head, and for the record, despite the director's best efforts, I still find Christoph fun in this series.

  1. Someone in the office smells? Milk the opportunity for maximum emotional currency by having the character forget bathrooms exist, and have him sob insanely while stripping naked to debase himself and sponge his stink all over the office, as if a loaded gun is pressed to his head. Nobody even told him to do this, and putting on smelly clothes again defeats the purpose.

  2. Need a cliff hanger? Naturally assume there's a dead body in a duck boat, whose location the killer gave up to randomly incriminate himself, and then, not to let the air out of this suspense balloon, milk the bluff into more episodes by doing nothing to resolve it. Don't call police, don't paddle out and peer into the boat. instead, fill a warm bath and forget the murder happened in the next episode.

  3. Need some suspense? Leave the whole building to have whispered conversations over tacos, yet when you need a business card, break into the maniac serial killer's glass office while he's standing seven feet away sniffing your colleagues who can all see you. Don't wait to break in during your 3AM pot-smoking sessions in a darkened facility. And when he inevitably catches you, hold up a single balled tissue and say you came to clean. Later, in his secret files, mash your lipstick on his cigarette and leave it there.

  4. Need an exciting cliff-hanger to end an episode? Pretend renting a venue isn't a common arrangement. Have the nightclub become an ordinary office, and twist the camera into a closeup and crank the thriller music to imply this has anything to do with the main character whatsoever.

  5. Want to tease whether the antagonist is evil? Confuse a tied up grown woman in a sheet with a small child. When she escapes, have her pun the phrase "go see this man, if you want to know what he's made of" to imply the coy secret meaning: gold bones. That's right folks, he can walk, he can fight up to four men in a bar at the same time—but he cannot lift his own gold bones up stairs. Edit: apparently he can't walk up glass stairs because he's afraid they'll break.

  6. Need conflict and drama to save the series from being 98% red herrings and swelling thriller music? Contrive domestic drama. Have the guy inexplicably lie to his wife about taking a day off (???), for literally no reason, then milk that conflict until she dolls herself up to service his boss as a secretary in a windowless darkened cell. Meanwhile, forget entirely that the series is a murder mystery, and make the previously concerned woman focus her intention on seducing her ex into freeing an elephant. An utterly arbitrary marketing task. 20,000 dollars won't be enough.

  7. Need a man to sign off his entire business to you in particular? Tell him you know he's depressed and that he signed a contract so he's obligated to kill himself in two weeks. Then tell him he also has to blow you. If he doesn't want to blow you and give you his company, just chuckle confidently and he will buckle like a bitch. Pretend you've thought all this through and it's his only option... to blow you, and kill himself...

Thinking persons cannot watch this show without cringing and laughing at a constant. You can hold your breath between cringings, it's that frequent.
