r/skiing Rules

1.
Don't be rude or a bully.

This is a friendly community where we all come to share things about skiing. Being rude or bullying another person is pointless and has no place here.

2.
All submissions must be related to skiing.

Any post whose central topic isn't about skiing will be regarded as spam and removed.

3.
No blatant self promotion posts.

Self promotion posts will be heavily scrutinized.

If your post is primarily about selling a product or promoting your website/social media it will be removed. This especially is up to the discretion of the mods.

The adage "It's perfectly fine to be a redditor with a website, it's not okay to be a website with a reddit account" applies here. It is fine to post content you have created from off of reddit, as long you are contributing to the community and not just doing it for personal gain.

4.
Post simple questions in the Weekly Discussion thread

If your submission is a simple question you should be using the Weekly Discussion thread. With 1.2+ million subscribers, this provides better organization and ensures threads are higher quality content.

5.
Helmet Discussion

Please understand the importance of a good fitted helmet to protect yourself from serious injuries in dangerous sports such as skiing. We would also like to recommend that young children and developing young adults wear some sort of head protection to protect their developing minds.

It's important to wear a helmet to keep your head protected. If you have any gear or helmet related discussions feel free to ask them in the megathread.
