I work in IT and the huge news in world is gpt which I think will create a revolution in the industry in the coming years. This is so much capable that it can code itself and does many things, which is a huge enhancement from earlier version and has potential to become AGI, a human like intelligence which can make all, if not many jobs even of developers obselete.

A few years ago I meant everything to my partner and was the closest person to them in the world. But for a misunderstanding they left me in a near death situation without looking back.

This realisation that I’m so replaceable in every way to everyone is causing unpleasant emotions in me. I realise the root of these is desire. A desire to grow in career which I feel is being taken away by a model. A desire to have a loving home which I feel is ruined by this person.

But without anything there won’t be any need for me to exist. It makes me sad to realise this truth (if I’m not mistaken) and I see why people would love to argue over what song or dress to select for a pary than to ponder over the reality. How do I deal with this?

Amitāyurdhyāna Sūtra on the Dharma-Realm-Body and the power of Buddha mindfulness and visualization

“After you have seen this, next visualize the Buddha. Why the Buddha? Because buddha tathāgatas have cosmic bodies (dharmadhātu-kāya), and so enter into the meditating mind of each sentient being. For this reason, when you contemplate a buddha, your mind itself takes the form of his thirty-two physical characteristics and eighty secondary marks. Your mind produces the Buddha’s image and is itself the Buddha. The ocean of perfectly and universally enlightened buddhas thus arises in the meditating mind. For this reason, you should singlemindedly concentrate and deeply contemplate the Buddha Tathāgata, Arhat, and Perfectly Enlightened One.
