She's not making any friends in the writer's room, I'm sure, but everything quoted in the article about Wednesday is accurate.
The show is infinitely better during the first, Burton episodes, the love triangle is forced and stupid, some of Wednesday's dialogue is completely facile, forced, and out of character.
The answer is to make sure the writers ha e a idea of who the charater is. Too many shows have salty writers who are upset their original idea got passed over for "popular series adaptation". So they shoehorn ideas ther had for their series into the current one they are writing for. Then get mad when fans criticize it and call it bad. Jenna and henry seem to have the same issue with writers not understanding the character. Wednesday day catching feeling/trying reletionships/making friends is fine. Convoluted love triangle not fine
