The sole possessor of the 2nd seed in the national basketball association's western conference is your Sacramento Kings.

After a few weeks of battling it out with the Grizzlies to keep the 2nd seed, after tonight's win we are the sole possessor of the #2 seed. 4.5 games behind the Nuggets.

Is implementing the beam the greatest marketing decision in NBA history?

When the Kings announced that they’d be installing a beam to light after their wins, I remember 99.9999% of the responses were

“What?”

and

“LMFAOOOO what wins?”

Like I don’t think any of us ever believed it would be anything other than sad.

What then followed was one of the best Kings seasons ever and universal appeal. Without the beam I wouldn’t care about the Kings. But with the beam I am Cleansed. I live for the ability to text my friend from Sacramento “LIGHT THE BEAM.” I watch Kings games now. They get wins now.

Did the beam save the Kings? Sacramento? California? The NBA?

[Shelburne] Brooklyn Nets forward Ben Simmons and Klutch Sports have mutually decided to part ways, sources told ESPN. Simmons had been represented by Klutch since he came into the NBA as the No. 1 pick in 2016. The agency negotiated his five-year $177 million extension in 2019.

Ben Simmons has not played since February 15 as he's been dealing with back and knee issues. The Nets are operating as though he will still return this season, but his playing time in the league might be coming to an end

[Weiss] NBA L2M report says Grant Williams should have been called for a jump ball violation and that Joe Mazzulla should have been called for a tech when he ran into the front court to call a timeout. Refs also missed Gobert being out of bounds when forcing the jump ball.

Report says that Jaden McDaniels fouled Grant Williams to cause the loose ball that led to the tie-up. Also Jaylen Brown should've been called for 3 in the key, though that was before anything even happened on that play so it's kinda irrelevant.
