Hi,

when Google released the Bluetooth-Update for the controller I was pretty hyped. I loved to use it and I still think it's one of the better controllers I have ever used. When Stadia announced it's closure I immediately left the platform and bought an Xbox Series X knowing the refund will cover all costs.

With the Bluetooth-Update for the controller released I was pretty confident that I can use it with my Xbox and just pair it by Bluetooth. Or with my Windows-PC, or my friends Switch, or my old PS4 or even PS3. How wrong I was.

Since I own that Xbox I bought 4! controllers for it because - I don't know if thats bad luck - they all suck. They either got Stickdrift or the face buttons like X or Y are not responsive enough. After googling I found out that this is a pretty common issue and a real problem for the Series S/X controller generation. I've never experienced such problem with any of my five Stadia controllers and I badly wanted a way to use them further.

I found one.

It is now possible to use the Stadia Controller on Xbox Series S/X, Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Switch, Windows, MacOS, RasperryPi... and for Retro-Purposes even on PS Classic, Sega Genesis Mini, Sega Mega Drive, .. etc.

Wireless, lagfree, with haptics (rumble) enabled.

I found out there are companies making 3rd-party adapters for exactly this reason. Using controllers on consoles they are not meant to be used with.

There is 8bitdo, which some of this sub already know, there is the Wingman (XB) from Brook and there is Mayflash with their Magic product line.

Unfortunately, none of them supported the Stadia controller. I even tested it out and bought all those adapters (The 8bitdo v2, the Wingman XB2, the Magic-X and Magic-NS2).
