The Tribune is reporting today, that a student brought a gun to AHS campus around 3/3 (two weeks ago):

Here is how parents were notified about this on 3/6, by Tom Butler:

Meanwhile the AHS principal, Dan Andrus, resigned on 3/3 "for personal reasons":

Couple of issues here:
I'm all for law abiding gun ownership. But when a parent fails to secure a firearm and their kid brings it to school, under PC 25100, that is treading very closely to "criminal storage of a firearm." The parent should be named and shamed at the very least. James & Jennifer Crumbley scenario?
The rest of us parents should not be left in the dark about this. For all we know the kid is back on campus and the parent still isn't securing their other firearms. What a clusterf*ck. Pretty hard to believe a gun was brandished on campus and we're only hearing about it two weeks later via the Tribune.
Edit: Updated to mention the principal resigned the day after this occurring.
