Let me start off by saying that it wasn't actually him. And if it was, I would probably keep this interaction with me to the day I die out of respect for his privacy. But because it wasn't him, I just want to share because I felt so stupid afterwards 😅

So I have to disclose some personal information for it to make sense. As Corpse has mentioned before, he lives in San Diego, CA. I do too. I was also an uber driver the past like two years and this happened like two years ago.

I usually drove late nights/early mornings (3am - 10am were my go to hours). I can't remember the time of day but it was dark out. Because of the location I dropped this rider off at, I assume it was early morning. Anyways, it started off all normal. I got to the pick up location which was a house and after a short wait, he got in the car. The profile didnt have a picture so i didnt bother to look at the person as he walked up to the car. (Yeah I don't care much for safety. If i die, i die 🤷) I did my usual "hi, how are you?" greeting. I was fine with chatting with passengers and usually welcome conversations because it kept things from being boring. He answers with the generic "good and you?". I froze. His voice sounded EXACTLY like Corpse. I was just like "I'm good." And shut the hell up and drove lol

My mind went racing. My heart was pounding. I was wondering 'did I just pick up Corpse??!' How do I bring it up? Should I bring it up? I know he liked his privacy, so I didn't say anything. I was trying not to look in the rear view mirror but I caught myself glancing every now and then because I couldn't help it but it was too dark to make out any features.

Then like half way through the 20 minute drive, I decided 'fuck it. I have to ask or it'll drive me crazy'. I know, it wasn't really respecting him (if it really was Corpse) especially since he said he gets anxious when people recognize him. And I'm a horrible person, I recognize that but I was literally on the verge of tears, adrenaline was pumping through me like no one's business, and just my curiosity got the best of me. All excuses, I know.

So after like 10 minutes of silence I finally spoke "I'm sorry that this is random but you sound just like a youtuber named CorpseHusband. You wouldn't be him, would you?" And the passenger replied "No, I don't even know who that is". Hmmm something I would expect Corpse to say! Lol "Oh, I'm sorry." I go into explaining who Corpse is and that I was freaking out because he's a private person but I just had to know. We chatted a little bit but then we ended up driving in silence the rest of the way to his destination.

When we got there he thank me and I was just expecting him to get out of the car but he started explaining how to leave the location. Just out of habit, I looked at him as he's explaining so not to be rude, and finally saw what he looked like. He was a poc and that's cool but from Corpse's hand pic, he's not dark like this individual so it really wasn't him. I was relived because I didn't just invaded Corpse's privacy, just some random person lol jk

I drove away still paranoid that it really was Corpse and that I got to talk to him (I have schizoaffective disorder with depression so my logical/rational side of my brain doesn't always leave me convinced). But I eventually ended up accepting that it wasn't him lol
