Strange phenonemon - certain people in my building are constantly ill/sick

So I live on the top floor of a pretty standard flat complex in Dublin. In the past few weeks I've noticed that the people in apartments 1 through 6 (so the bottom and first floors only) are basically always visibly ill with colds, sniffles, and the like.

Everyone else in the building is grand .. from flat 7 up.
