After yesterday's game (and the Heat games), I felt we were out of reach from the 6th seed. We're 5.5 games back from the Knicks with only 12 games to play. The top 6 teams in the East are crushing it this year. (The West on the other hand is a much more wide open field).

The Ringer's Odds Machine seems to align with this. They have given us 89% odds at being a play-in team, with a projected 40-42 record. They're 50/50 whether we make it out the play-in.

At this point, we want to either

1. avoid dropping below the 8th seed

2. try to obtain 7th seed so we get home court advantage during play-in

We don't really match up well with either the Heat or the Raptors, so it's all kind of dicey.
