“It’s a simple fix” Quincy Carrier answers questions about Joe Woods. (TDLR) Keep Anthony Walker on the field and bump Greg Newsome back outside. Keeps the play caller consistent and keeps the boundaries locked down.

Also I think it's a bad idea to give on field playcalling duties to players who don't play almost every down

"Lets take the guy, who is excelling in his limited role (Walker) and use him in a full time role, where he last struggled" doesnt exactly sound like a quick fix to me

I think it’s a front office off season failure by Bringing Harrison back instead of bringing a 3rd safety with a better free safely skill set.

Delpit and Johnson are better closer to the line anyway. Wound have been win win.

Even though this is right, if they don't think Walker can play every down then just pass off the green to somebody who will be on the field for every play or at least 90% of them. Having it be 50/50 obviously isn't working.

It's more than that though our safeties suck at covering or delpit and harrison do at least.

Playing exclusively zone is mental too

I’ve never understood this… three years of Woods calling primarily zone and giving up massive yardage despite the man coverage talent we have in the CB room. The guy just doesn’t craft the defense to his players strengths he just tries to force his system no matter what.

What is the time stamp?

The only problem I have is that Emerson has played well. Best DB grade this past week. He deserves playing time. If Newsome is outside I’m not sure if MJ is up to speed as a nickel.

I don’t know if Walker playing every down to keep the green dot is smart. He’s absolutely not an every down LB at this point in his career, and JJ3 was the green dot when things went well last year.

If woods for whatever reason needs his green dot to be the mike, then maybe the browns should’ve moved on from Walker and made Phillips the every down Mike
