So this game is a shameless copy, in almost every aspect. Luckily the combat is different in how supers work and it adds some complexity. Anyway... I thought I'd list some of the dos and don'ts for beginners since they all apply.

  1. DONT use your A rank fighters as fodder. The B ranks are meant to be ranked up and used. I saw somewhere something about faction towers unlocking eventually, and you'll want a big character pool for each faction for that.

  2. Don't worry about upgrading gear at first, save the mats for later when you can get better gear from afking.

  3. Don't level up more than 4 fighters, and level up your main team. You unlock limit break soon enough and it levels everyone in it to the lowest level of your top 4.

  4. Save gems for 10 pulls early on. I imagine a copy of afk arena's stargazer will unlock eventually, but that's more late game. Again, you'll need a wide pool of characters later.

  5. Save the 2/4/8 hour mats you get, at least the purple one. As you progress, your afk rewards increase and that applies to these. The purple resource for promoting to a level that unlocks skills will probably be in short supply later on, so save these until you need them.

  6. Take advantage of faction bonuses. At my point in the game (5-40), i can have 6 characters on my team, so the 4+2 bonus is easy to get if you're careful about who you put in limit break.

  7. Save your city coins for Juri. Not only is she the best SF character in history, and it's not debatable, shes also from one of the very rare to pull factions... Making her copies worth much more than everyone else offered.

That's all I can think of ATM that is 100% the same as afk. There's are some more tips that can be helpful.

Prioritize leveling a carry. I've been using C. Viper for my carry and she's doing well. Whoever you pick, make sure they have a lvl 3 combo to finish your super chains with. AoE is also really good for this.

After your damage dealer, focus on a tank. I'm using gief here, but might switch him out when I get another option.

Your third focus should be another damage dealer or a support depending on what you have. I have blanka for more AoE and Elena for her healing.

In AFK it was standard to max shemira (best carry in the game for a very long time) and let her solo with her super. I don't know if that will work here, so I've been keeping my carry about 20 levels higher than the rest of my cast, leveling gief when I get stuck and need him to live a little longer. Anyone further than me, please comment if my strat is off.
