I’ve been vegan for a few months now, but also addicted to Xanax for longer. I keep trying to justify it by the fact that the drugs would’ve been stolen, so it’s not supporting the industry and that I’m still making a difference by making vegan choices in every single other aspect of my life. I feel like I shouldn’t be allowed to call myself vegan because of this though, it’s so selfish especially when honestly I don’t think I’ll be quitting anytime soon. I can already envision this ending up on r/vegancirclejerk , I feel like one of those people that are like “getting my weekly burger so I can stay vegan ☺️❤️”, but I’ve struggled with drugs since I was 14 and don’t know how to change. Has anyone been in a similar situation?
