He started the sentence at minute 38:50, but if you need evidence for the exact moment, he uses his pronunciation at exactly 39:03. I'm listening on Spotify so if your version of the ep is advert/sponsor free, it may be 2 minutes earlier.
This is a revelation and to me the most important bit to come out from this interview. Possibly the biggest discovery of the century.
I just cannot support someone who pronounces GIF with the J.
This is astonishing, and my week is ruined.
Please leave your thoughts and why you are also heartbroken and befuddled like I was, and why you also are no longer a Kenny Omega fan after this. Pronouncing with the J, what a horrible act.
I'm shocked. Confused. Befuddled. Bewildered. All the words. I'm that.
It's pronounced GIF, Kenny. Not GIF. You monster.
Edit: I have clipped it and you can listen to the shocking betrayal here. I know, I know. I'm as disappointed and as heartbroken as you are.
At right around the 17 minute mark of McMurphy's podcast he is discussing the difficult position George Kliavkoff is in. Basically goes on to say, due to the uncertainty that Oregon and Washington bring with their desire to join the Big 10 it makes it very hard to get a media deal and sell companies on the stability of the conference.
He says one of the main reasons that the Big 12 was able to present itself as stable is because there are no schools that either of the major 2 conferences would want.
This is particularly interesting because McMurphy has repeatedly stated that he thinks at minimum 2 and up to 4 Pac 12 teams will go up to the Big 10. Since he believes Oregon and Washington will go and Stanford and Cal are strong possibilities he is essentially saying 4 of the remaining 10 pac 12 teams would be more desirable of an add than any current/future Big 12 team.

Austin Rivers on the hardest player to guard:
"Steph... it's not even close... you can't touch him, they give him every f—— call, they set illegal screens for him the entire game... they don't call it cause they want to see him shoot.”
