The warrants for 10 JW men plastered all over the news was just a start - the attorney general made a long speech about the case so far, that JW elders had refused to hand over documents relating to the cases so they had to get a search warrant for the Kingdom Halls. When they discovered the detailed evidence of those and other crimes which were so bad you could see the disgust and emotion on their faces, they have now begun to issue search warrants for all halls in Pennsylvania and are going to subpoena every elder in the state to provide evidence on whatever they know about CSA within the JWs. This was all over the news and the old attorney general is now the Governor for the state.

So surely this is known by JWs living there and across the rest of the US? How are people reacting? Are people asking why this isn’t on JW News on the website - because, let’s face it - it’s kind of a big deal. Even if they spun it as ‘persecution’. You can’t hide it if elders in every single cong are subpoenaed. Every cong will know.

Apparently WT have called a meeting with all elders in the area - I think Mark O’Donnell said this on JT & Lady Cee’s channel. They’ve also employed the same legal firm who represented the Catholic Church to represent them. The lawyers will also be representing the congs/elders in Pennsyl More petrol to the fire: what about all the other elders who haven’t been represented and had to pay out of their own pocket to represent themselves? Am I wrong or has this not been the policy when individuals have been pursued vs. The WT, but acting on WT guidelines, ie. The elders who were given jail sentences for not reporting abuse to police?

What is the response in Pennsylvania atm? Are the public hostile towards JWs? Are elders & their families worried about being caught up in the scandal through the blanket subpoena? Does everyone know yet? How are they feeling about it?

There is another quite scary thought, which is that people will assume it’s the beginning of the Great Tribulation when Satan starts coming for them. I remember about 30y ago a speaker booming that Satan could come for them physically or legally. They’ve anticipated this for so long.

I hate to say it triggers my indoctrination. COVID, various earthquakes & natural disasters. Satan ‘coming for’ God’s people. I hate that it gets that little piece of brain that knows it’s all nonsense but still bears the imprint from the branding..

  1. When they introduced the new silver Bible, the brother who was speaking asked every one in attendance to hold out their new Bible, with one hand. Then take their other hand and grab the other end of the Bible. Then he instructed them to “twist” it a few times. This would help loosen the pages of the new Bible. I thought this was Bizarre. Then, Stephen Lett came in for the next talk, and told the audience, not to worry as he won’t have the audience twist Gods word as the previous brother had done. He laughed, the audience laughed. I was in shock.

  2. If we are to revere Gods name, why did they start giving their brand a nick name “JW”

  3. Learning about the origins of Charles Taze Russell, particularly his calculations from Pyramidology, adoption of some doctrine from his previous mentors/associates.

  4. The pyramid with the inscription? Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, right near Charles Taze Russell’s Grave.

  5. The mansion in San Diego called Beth Sarim that Joseph Rutherford had built with the societies money, which he vacationed at.

  6. The decision to establish the Jehovah’s Witness organization as a “cultural” organization in Mexico. This was done in a time when Mexico did not permit religions to buy property. So then the organization rather chose to label themselves in Mexico as a cultural organization which took away their ability to use the Bible in service, and took away their ability to pray at the meetings. Apparently owning property is more important than using the Bible and Praying. They could have just labeled themselves as a religious organization.

  7. Barely any Bible Study. Jehovah’s Witnesses study their books. Never any open study of the scriptures as a congregation.

  8. 1975 was clearly a date that was circulated as the likely time of Armageddon by the HQ. It was in their literature!! Then if you ask about it now, they say that it came from unofficial sources among the brothers and discredit the claim that they had anything to do with. They didn’t own up to it and lied about it. Wow, I mean it’s in their old published material.

  9. Jehovah’s Witness have been proclaimed Armageddon was imminent for the past 5 years, no I mean 10 years, no I mean 20 years, no I mean 50 years, no I mean over 100 years. Before I started waking up I used to think to myself. “Who cares when Armageddon comes, I want to be a good Christian because I love God and want to do what’s right, and I’m going to do that whether Armageddon comes in my lifetime or not”. So why the incessant focus on end times? It has recently dawned on me that I now believe it’s to implement fear based tactics.

  10. In my opinion, the manner in which they deliver information is always suitable for their specific purpose. Many times when they want to say something without saying it, they will present then information in clusters to where the audience can then link the information on their own. I view this as deliberate social engineering and propaganda.
