For those planning to buy anything on the 3DS/Wii U eShop before closure, buy what you want as soon as possible. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST DAY. I wanted to buy some games for the 3DS and you are only able to put in 200 dollars a day to your Nintendo account (eShop credit or card)

If you want to buy for more than 200 dollars, you need to plan it over multiple days since maximum "add funds" amount is capped at 200 dollars per day.

Edit: A lot of people are saying "just emulate" or "hack your 3ds" and while I appreciate alternative means of getting games and do emulate a lot and hate Nintendo's anti-consumerism as much as the next guy, this is not what the post is about. I am simply stating that adding funds is not as easy as you might think for larger purchases and didn't mean to start a "legit" vs "emulation" debate although I am a strong supporter of emulation and especially game preservation (but still want to have a un-modded system with some of my most wanted games from the eShop.)

Edit 2: A lot of people are confused about the eShop closure. The Wii U and 3DS eShop close on the 27th March 2023. Any games, applications, microtransactions and DLC will not be available to buy after this. Updates to games and redownloads of games you own will still be available for the forseeable future. Adding funds is still possible through linking your NNID to your Nintendo Account.

Edit 3: This post was never meant to start a debate over supporting Nintendo or emulating. It's a hard line to draw and I honestly don't know where the line for the right answer is drawn (perhaps this is why it creates such a big debate) On one hand, yes, Nintendo shouldn't keep making games unavailable by closing the eShops with no other way to play the games except "illegitimate" ways. On the other hand, right now, the stores are still up, and a ton of people either do not know about modding/emulating or want buy from the eShop for whatever reason. This post was simply meant to inform the ones who are planning on buying from the eShop and I hope it helps in that regard.
