The Clippers joined the NBA in the 1970-71 season. Bucks won the title that year. Clippers went on a 50-year conference finals drought, and when they break that streak this season (2020-21), the Bucks also broke their 50-year title drought in the same season

Kyle Lowry made a $200,000 bonus for making the All-Star Game and playing 65 games, made $500,000 more for making the Conference Finals, an additional $500,000 for reaching the NBA Finals and he would recieve $500,000 more for winning the title

LeBron came into the conference finals as the higher seed only 3 times. He eventually won the title all 3 times.

2012 - Heat (#2) vs Celtics (#4)

2013 - Heat (#1) vs Pacers (#3)

2016 - Cavs (#1) vs Raptors (#2)

2013 is the only one of those in which he played for the higher seed in the finals as well. The one other time ever was against the Mavs in 2011.

EDIT: these are only the times he eventually made the finals, he of course lost to the Magic in 2009 ECF. Apologies to Magic fans everywhere.

Luka Doncic is averaging 9.7 minutes of handling the ball per game, the highest of any player in the playoffs. Among players in the Conference Finals, that's 30%+ more than the second highest (Steph Curry at 6.4 min). The 3.3 minute gap is enough to fit Joel Embiid (2.7).

Like the title says, Luka Doncic is averaging 9.7 minutes of handling the ball, the highest of any player in the playoffs. This is more than the regular season (where he was also first, at 9.3m, beating out Harden's 9.2) and more than any other player who made it to the conference finals (Steph Curry is 2nd at 6.4min). Harden's MVP regular season was at 8.8min. This is however Luka's lowest total in the playoffs yet! He had 12.1 and 10.1 in the prior two seasons.

Dallas' ball-dominance put 3 players in the top 35: Luka (1st), Brunson (18th), and Dinwiddie (34th).

The amount of time that Luka holds onto the ball should lead to no surprise that he is 1st USG (39%), 1st in % of team FGA (39%), 2nd in % of team FTA (52%), 3rd in % of team AST (47%), 1st in % of team TOV (45%), 2nd in % of team's blocked FGA (40%) and 1st in % of team's points (40%). This is min. of 6 games and 100 minutes.

With both conference finals set, what matchup would you want to see most in the Finals?

My top choice has gotta be Mavericks vs Heat III, a Luka vs Jimmy finals would go crazy with the way they've been hooping these playoffs. Celtics and Warriors would be fire too, 2 marquee franchises duelling it out with Curry looking for his FMVP and the Celtics trying to reclaim sole ownership of most titles.

Honestly though, both CF finals are insane matchups and no matter who makes it out, I'm highly looking forward to the next 2 rounds of playoff ball.
