Hey everyone! I am interested in Watch_dogs legion but have not played any others, do I need to play them first?

Both 1 and 2 are good. The first has a gripping story and a darker theme, while 2 is more polished, better looking, and generally funnier.

Watch Dogs 1 and 2 are just significantly better games so I'd suggest playing them before Legion for that alone.

Other than that you won't miss much. Some minor details like Defalt's easter egg will go over your head and Bloodlines (the expansion) is totally pointless for you tho.

The expansion being pointless is the worst part about it imo. The expansion is the only part of legion I enjoyed, and I really tried to like the game, going for a 100% run to try everything

No you don't, you'll be completely fine if you wanna go straight for Legion, but the other two are great games and (as others have said) are considered to be better than legion, hacking in particular peaks in 2 so give the others a go if Legion doesn't live up to your expectations or if you enjoy it

2 has the best multiplayer if that's your thing. Legion is Ubi's classic send-off to a franchise that deserved better.

Watchdogs 2 is incredible. It’s one of those games you wish you could play for the first time again. Great story and gameplay

I hated legion so much and absolutely loved Watch Dogs 2. Watch Dogs 1 was pretty good too but two is my absolute favorite

Legion is a very fun stealth game and the plot doesn't have much to do with the previous games. I'd recommend the first two more if you have a choice though. They have better gameplay and story.

I've only ever played the first one and recently have bought the second and legion and with my copy of legion it came with the first one so I'm going through it again as it's been years since I played it and from what I understand there not related in any way whatsoever as in they don't follow on from each other but it's probably best to play from the first one to understand how it all works

Watch Dogs 1 > 2 > Legion. Start from the beginning. Then when you get to Legion, buy the season pass for cheap so you can play the entire game as Aiden and Marcus, plus the Bloodline DLC is better than the base game.

It definitely plays like 2013-2016 era assassin’s creed game and the assassin tie-character is well worth it

I would play the first at least. The Bloodlines DLC for Legion is honestly better than the main game and it follows Aiden Pearce, the main character from the first.
