So when Westbrook or even Powell/Mann have decent games, they get benched for Eric Gordon? Can someone explain why they played Gordon? I've seen great offense from Powell. Mann is a decent two-way player and think both Mann and Westbrook hustle and wreak havoc on defense.

So far, my view of Eric Gordon is that the FO traded for him and promised him minutes. So there will be some pain this year. I wonder if it is playing on the Rockets that made him so lazy also with all that losing.

Can Eric Gordon do this?

  1. Westbrook plays help defense and steals the ball while falling on the floor

  2. Westbrook rebounds over Michael Porter Jr

  3. Westbrook deflects Jokic's pass for a steal and then assists to Morris for a dunk

  4. Westbrook as a guard fronts Jokic and tips the pass... even Paul George struggled to front

Gordon is just lazy on defense and does not care to rebound. He is the opposite of Westbrook.

  1. Gordon just stands there while his man Murray goes for the offensive rebound. Seriously? He should've been benched after this play.

  2. Lazy Gordon was the helper on Aaron Gordon. He just doesn't even jump or do anything, and he let's Aaron Gordon slam it. This is some albatross. Lazy Gordon just so lazy.

  3. Just look at how Lazy Gordon is standing... is he playing Cornerback while Murray is a WR? It's completely the wrong stance. You are supposed to prevent Murray from using the pick. So you force him right. He's like standing like a Cornerback on defense and dies on the Jokic screen.

  4. On this play, offensive rebound was given up. Eric Gordon could've helped. But even just his defensive stance is lazy. When Murray passes it, Lazy Gordon should've been shading right so he can get a deflection... he's lazy bro.

  5. Lazy Gordon applies 0 ball pressure on the ball handler. Just watch Schroder/Pat Bev and even Westbrook matchup ball handlers. Lazy Gordon just chilling and letting Murray make clean passes.I'm just not used to this laziness if Lue put him in for defense.

Anyway, game was pretty much over down 7. You need miracle plays to make a comeback. Eric Lazy Gordon won't bring any miracles. They should've put back in Westbrook and tell him to make hero/miracle plays to try to make a comeback. He already had 5 steals this game. So you never know if he can make some miracle steals for easy buckets.

This team is making me sick right now though. Don't get me on Marcus Morris playing over RoCo right now. RoCo gets 6 deflections per 36, while Morris is a cone.
