Rape is just like any other crime and still will be prevalent. There’ll still be thief’s roaming around, and serial killers. Regarding rape there are two possible circumstances to deal with these altercations

1- you use self defense such as a firearm

2- you avoid the situation in its entirety

I think the 6% could be attributed to a lack of evidence, whether it be DNA, bruising etc and also the time after in which women report the rape. A lot of women may not get a rape kit which weakens the evidence in court. Also please remember just because the defendant wasn’t declared guilty doesn’t mean he didn’t commit the crime, it’s just the evidence wasn’t enough
