Most people who use drugs are just completely ordinary types who just happen to like smoking a joint on weekends or taking pills at festivals. The vast majority of drug use is closer to a hobby than a problem. Problematic use exists, for sure, but it's not the whole story.

this is a tacit acknowledgement that Canada's drug laws (and more) are racist by design. but this piecemeal reform fails to address many other harms: Indigenous, Black & racialized people are disproportionately dying from these drug laws too.
