Seattle schoolboy, 17, exposes carbon footprint of 'hypocrite' private jet-loving stars

Math-loving Seattle resident Akash Shendure (top right) began the exhaustive effort just a few months ago, and has since amassed a list of more than 150 ultrarich people and their families, ranked by the estimated emissions they generate by flying privately. Recognizable names topping the list include Kim Kardashian (center and inset, her jet) and Kylie Jenner (bottom right). The worst offender, however, was Silicon Valley entrepreneur Tom Siebel (left) - who, like many on the list, has spoken out about the dangers of climate change. According to Shendure, the billionaire is responsible for 4,649 tons of yearly emissions. For reference, the average American emits 15.52 tons of carbon dioxide per year, meaning many of the celebrities and tycoons to grace the list each year generate more hundreds of times the pollutants of a typical US citizen. Siebel's carbon footprint, for instance, is equal to that of more than 299 typical US citizens.

Married Ohio couple and their toddler daughter suffer RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS after toxic train derailed and exploded - as local woman's chickens all die suddenly

Chris and Jamie Wallace were evacuated from their East Palestine, Ohio home following the February 3 crash, but said they started experiencing difficulty breathing almost immediately. They began to show symptoms hours after the train derailed at around 9pm, they said. Around 50 cars on the Madison, Illinois to Conway, Pennsylvania train came off the tracks in a fiery crash - including ten carrying hazardous materials. The toxic material was dealt with in a 'controlled burn', which released vinyl chloride into the air. More than 3,500 fish have been killed due to the toxic runoff and chickens have been found dead in their cages, while footage of the aftermath shows plumes of toxic smoke still lingering in the area. 'It was about 1:30am when we finally got out of there, and the adrenaline started to settle down,' said Chris Wallace. 'We were heading to stay at the hotel with her brother and his foster children for the night, and we started realizing that our breathing was labored. Just talking was harder for us.' Another resident of North Lima, over 10 miles from the derailment, said her five hens and rooster died suddenly after the toxic cars were burned. Amanda Breshears said the discovery was deeply upsetting, and worrying. 'I'm beyond upset and quite panicked, because they may be just chickens, but they're family,' she said. 'If it can do this to chickens in one night, imagine what it's going to do to us in 20 years.'

Bill Clinton is ripped for gushing public message to his 'forever Valentine' Hillary

The post features a photo of the former first couple during their younger days, and an accompanying caption where Clinton affectionately refers to his wife of 48 years as his 'forever Valentine.' On the surface, the gushing public message seemed appropriate given the politician's love story, which stretches back to their days as students at Yale Law in the early 1970s. However, the pair's very public romance has been marred by several well-known and embarrassing challenges, such as the sex scandal that erupted over his 18-month affair with White House intern Lewinsky, then 22, that led to his 1997 impeachment. Clinton, now 76, at the time heralded his wife as a pillar of support after they emerged from the deeply embarrassing episode - which was not the first time the then head of state was accused of being unfaithful - a sentiment the retired politician seemed to reiterate in his impassioned, public post.

Chilling video shows New Zealand pilot taken hostage by bow and arrow-wielding rebels in remote Papua region after they set fire to his plane on landing - as they issue a demand for independence from Indonesia

Phillip Mehrtens, a pilot for Indonesian aviation company Susu Air, was kidnapped last week by the rebels, who stormed his single-engine plane shortly after it landed on a small runway in Paro in the remote Nduga district on February 7. The separatist rebels from the West Papua Liberation Army, the armed wing of the United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP), seized Mehrtens before setting fire to his plane on the runway. Video and images have since emerged showing Mehrtens standing in a forest surrounded by a group of rebels who are armed with rifles, spears and bows and arrows. Rebel leader Egianus Kogoya insisted that the pilot, from Christchurch, will not be released until the Papua region is made independent from Indonesia. But the Indonesian government has stood firm and said Papua will 'forever remain a legitimate part' of Indonesia - raising doubts about when Mehrtens would be released.

Davis sparked laughter in the court when he said how he went home that evening and lay in his recliner for the rest of the night, as he usually would. The prosecutor asked: 'And the day is done?' 'Done,' Davis replied emphatically, prompting chuckles, including from Alex, 54, (main) who appeared to say something to his attorney as he sniggered at his former employee. More than a dozen others are believed to be infected.
