Woody the Wolf :) by Mrokat in printmaking

The papers I use most often for now are handmade in local paper mill in Poland, they are thick and durable, ranging 180 - 200 gms. As for the paint, here the black one was water-based from Essedee, I could not find much about its resilience to light. However, I've had most of my lino prints framed behind glass or plexiglass and I haven't noticed any changes - the oldest print has been hanging on my wall for about 5 years now. I would say they are exposed to partial sun.

I don't consider myself a professional lino artist (yet, I hope!), but I'm constantly trying to improve my craft. A few days ago I ordered oil-based inks that have great lightfastness according to the manufacturer, we'll see how that goes!

Lastly... it's either very hard or expensive to get any block printing supplies in Poland! I would love to try Lokta and Japanese papers, but most prices are in US dollars and... 1USD is about 4,5PLN, let alone shipping costs! That's why I try to match my art supplies "tiers" to my current skill level - improving and investing one step at a time :)

Hahaha yeeees, I'm a tattoo artist :) My works are most liked anywhere but in my home country (ironic xD), that's why I make stickers and prints of my designs, so more people may enjoy it. And so I could pay my bills

Awww thank you so much! It's so nice to hear that!

To be honest, these are the first drawings that I feel connected to and they feel like ME (if that makes any sense, I don't know). I was feeling "meh" about my art for quite some time. And this time it's like exactly what you said - I just drew what I felt like, not something that was expected of me. And it seems like people like it too! Maybe because it's genuine, hehehe

Thanks!! Actually, my main job is tattooing :) The wolf one was meant as a slight joke about the popular realistic tattoos of wolves in the woods… except here we have woods in the wolf! Hihihihi 😈

Thank you very much!

Sure! I use Canon G640 (it's a tank printer) and Silhouette Cameo for cutting.

I was actually thinking about making stickers out of these designs too :)

Thank you! Actually, yes, I do! :) I was angrily searching for a style that would work as both tattoo design and art/sticker design, and I'm getting a feeling that might be it - a bit of a mixture of dark and cute folklore.
