I am purchasing a 6'x5' Suncast resin shed to store my lawn equipment in the back yard. I am trying to determine the best and most cost-effective method for building a foundation. I am considering using 2x6's with 1/2" treated plywood on top and putting it directly over the existing sod. Is this the best way to go, or should I consider something else? I'm in Zone 8B.
My deck sits about a foot over the gravel base/ground.
I would ideally like to drill a hole through the trex so the umbrella is supported by the hole and secure in the ground as well.
I understand that inserting it into the deck alone would present a stability issue and also may damage the deck
But if I can insert it through the hole and "anchor" it in the ground, would this be stabile enough?
If so, what should I use to anchor it?
