I moved from the south to a city with cold weather (Chicago) a couple months ago. I live in a studio apartment, where I have been keeping the temp at 70F since the winter. I noticed the condensation in the windows causes water to accumulate on the windowsill:

It doesn’t pool enough to spill onto the floor, but I’m concerned it will cause mold on the windows. What can I do before I put in a work order (if necessary) with my property management company?

Shower Surround Pulling Away From Wall

My tub/shower has one of those three-piece acrylic shower surrounds. I have it well-caulked across the top and where it meets the tub, but in a number of spots it’s pulling away from the wall. It seems like the adhesive has worn away.

It’s more noticeable after a hot shower because, I assume, the heat is causing expansion. However, I have all the joints sealed with silicone to allow more flexibility and prevent cracking.

As long as water isn’t getting in, is this a major concern? Like, is this a “fix it now” thing, or am I fine to leave it as is? Couldn’t find a definitive answer on Google.

Does garage door insulation need to be evenly distributed?

I just recently purchased my first home. The previous owners installed very thick and heavy insulation on the garage door. Home inspector and a garage company said the insulation they installed is heavy for the opener currently installed and will void warranty on it due to the excessive weight that is causing extra strain on the opener. They tightened the garage spring to help but doesn't solve the weight issue. The garage is directly below the living space of the home.

The question is can I remove half of the panels and keep the weight even on the left and right sides of the door, or do I need to buy a completely new lighter set of insulation panels and fully replace? Does insulation need to be evenly distributed on the garage door to properly insulate or can I just remove half of the panels to lighten it?
