Lifelong Chrome user switching to Firefox, are there any extensions that are a MUST on the browser?

I'm slowly testing out Firefox due to Google phasing out Manifest V2. Are there any extensions that are a MUST on Firefox?

I already imported my extensions from Chrome and the only other ones that I found that are a must would be Simple Translate and Image Search Option cause FF doesn't have those options natively.

4k60 and 8k YouTube playback unusable on Firefox

I am trying to transition from chrome to Firefox, but I've come across a big issue.

Any high resolution playback on YouTube is absolutely unusable on Firefox on my MacBook Pro (2021 M1 Pro 16" 16GB ram). It drops >90% of the frames (according to "stats for nerds" menu) and is just nonstop stutters on Firefox, whereas on Chrome and especially on Safari it works flawlessly (even with 2x speed 8k60fps HDR video).

Is there anything that can be done about this? Some extension I can get or setting I can change to remedy it? I've tried searching for a solution but have found nothing that applies

Firefox taking up 17gb of memory when hardware acceleration is enabled

Firefox uses more and more memory over time. It has gotten as high as 17 gb out of the 32 gb on my laptop. Firefox task manager says that almost all of it is being used by "GPU". It will continue to increase until Firefox is restarted. It seems like watching videos is what causes it to increase.

Turning off hardware acceleration solves this issue, but that causes Firefox to flicker.

This issue has occurred since updating to the latest graphics drivers. Before the driver updates, Firefox would use 100% of the integrated GPU but this is no longer an issue.
