also why call him tenteen when you could call him fourten (and the fourtenth doctor)? there are, in a sense, now four tens - the og tenth doctor, the second regeneration of him, tentoo, and the not fourteenth doctor. he’s the fourtenth doctor!
I love those scenes with the Classic Doctors so much! I keep thinking about them. I was afraid they would just be fan service - and it was, but of the incredibly good kind. Their appearances were important and made sense in the plot, and I think it’s very, very cool that they got to meet their old companions and reconcile, giving them closure. It’s something the Doctor struggles so much to do.
I also adore the mindscape with all the previous regenerations. They play poker on Saturdays. Seven steals all the aces, Six is probably the only honest one who’s very angry because he never wins and he deserves to and the shortie is clearly cheating, Five has a surprisingly good poker face, and Eight… Eight thinks the deck they’re using is ugly, so he’s just sulking in a corner while he comments on the game (XD).
I trully don’t get how people are happy about the D+ deal, this is awful, this is just putting a fucking paywall for people outside of the UK.
The ABC will stop airing the show in Australia it has been confirmed and I’m certain that the same kind of news will drop for other countries too. This “it’s making doctor who accessible to the the world” thing that they’re saying to promote it is pure lie and is just marketing. The only reason the deal has been made is because the bbc need money and disney need new viewers, it is not a deal made with the fans in mind, do not be fooled.
This is what it looks like when two of the most feared beings in the entire universe are questioning every decision they ever made that lead them to this point.
And I love every second of it.
While I (like some others) am less than thrilled at the way David’s reappearance has overshadowed Jodie’s departure and Ncuti’s upcoming debut, nevertheless I hope his episodes next year do massive ratings and that this helps lead to even more massive ratings for Ncuti’s run, and that of his successor, and on and on.
Because the longer Doctor Who is on the air and still drawing viewers and being profitable, the better the chances for Jodie to make another appearance as 13 and, fingers crossed, a potential Thasmin reunion.
I’m playing the long game here folks.
doctor who is like. this is the cheesiest shittiest stupidest show I’ve ever seen. it is also perfect and it continues to affect my emotions and personality years after the fact.
