Famous Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio vandalized

According to Flora Charner of AP, workers are trying to remove trees, rocks and mud that are blocking the road to the statue, located on top of Mount Corcovado in Tijuca National Park. Apparently, vandals took advantage of the road closures to perform their inappropriate deeds.
