"No contact delivery" is not respected when you order food as a woman

Does anyone else experienced this?

I prefer no contact delivery for food because there are just times when I feel like I don't want to socialize, especially if it is not necessary. However, there is a recent trend that I discovered: as a woman, even though I set up "no contact delivery" all the time, 7 out of 10 orders still... require contact.

This is in HUGE contrast when, for example, a guy friend of mine is there, and we use his name for the delivery. I intentionally used those as an opportunity to test out my hypothesis: aside from one single case where the deliverer couldn't find the place (where breaking the no contact rule was the only way to get the food), every single time the no-contact rule was respected.

Not when I order food, or I order with friends under my name. Every single time they either insist to "give it to my hand", or even if they are going "no contact", they are literally standing on the stairs for FIVE MINUTES to see if I get the food. Usually the only time it's respected when another woman delivers the food. Interesting enough, they understand what privacy means. There are obviously exceptions, "notallmen" and such, but it's still infuriating that this is the norm, not the exception.

This is not only humiliating, but also super creepy too. Is it just my own, isolated case, or did anyone else experience this too?

Changing my surname to my husbands on my behalf :/

I’m married and I chose not to change my surname to my husband’s.

Student finance people decided to change my surname to my husbands on my behalf on all of my records?? No where is my legal surname changed yet they assumed I took his name. Now I’m going through a long process to have my records corrected.

This is a minor issue but… really annoying

I pray for the day that MRA’s focus on helping men, not hating women.

I made the mistake of going onto the men’s rights activists Reddit, because of how loud people have been about male mental health recently.

Not a single post about men. Nothing about “how are you doing today?” or “it’s okay to talk about your feelings” etc. it’s all “fuck Kim Kardashian, Kayne shouldn’t have to pay child support!” and “men aren’t allowed to be men anymore because of feminists!”.

When I go onto feminist reddits it’s all about helping eachother, including men.

Why can’t they just help each-other?! What is so hard about helping other men? Why does it all centre around how bad women are?!

Is being a sugar baby worth it to avoid homelessness?

I posted this on a subreddit and while most replies were against being a sugar baby, many dms told me it would he worth it if you find the right guy.

I'm a 17 year old girl and I'm planning to escape my abusive home. I'd like to go to university at some point which seems impossible if you're living on your own and work a minimum wage job. Additionally, runaway teens end up homeless or worse quite frequently and I think that not going to university is the least of my worries right now. I've posted a lot about my situation on various subreddits in case you're curious and want more detail.

Someone had responded to one of my posts through DM and recommended becoming a sugar baby. He told me that he had gone through homelessness and didn't have that option since he was a guy. Many people have said that becoming a sugar baby will end in abuse, and I wonder if part of this idea seeming appealing to me is my self destructive tendencies (I have an impulse to seem sexually attractive to/flirt with older people because of the mental conditioning that I went through). Are there any women who have opinions on this?

Older Male customer from my Work showed up at my apartment door- Advice needed

Hey, I need some advice. I'm not sure where else to post this, if I broke the rules please tell me and I'll post this to another sub. I'm a 105 lb 5'3 22 year old girl and recently at work I've been talking casually to an older male customer at the deli I work at. I didn't think anything of it because we have a lot of older male customers come in and talk to the workers including myself. However after a while he made a point to say hi to me any time he walked into the store and began coming in daily just to talk to me. I began to become uncomfortable but didn't know what else to do so I just let it continue.

Yesterday morning I woke up sick with a sore throat so I called off sick and went to my parent's house so I wouldn't get my roommates sick. I went back to my apartment last night to pick up clothes and my roommates looked visibly shaken and stated that an older male came knocking on our apartment door at around 6 PM asking if I was ok and if he needed to take me to the hospital. It was the guy- their description matched him perfectly. I went to my work immediately after talking to them and asked about him and if any of my co workers or boss told him where I live. What is alarming is that he knows where I live and went to where I live looking for me, and my co workers said they made sure NOT to tell him where I lived or the times of any of my shifts because they'd been getting a bad vibe from him as he'd come in constantly asking about me and when I worked. I didn't realize he'd been asking for me so frequently until I told them what he did and they told me.

My boss thinks its gross but said I shouldn't be alarmed and that he's probably harmless. However he's crossed a boundary finding out where I live (I still don't know how he found out about this!) and offering to drive me to the hospital. I've been stalked before and I really am scared because of how scary the experiences are but it seems everyone I've told other than my roommates seem to brush it off as nothing. My mom actually thought it was cute at first! I don't really know what to do and I'm dreading going to work because I'll see him again. What should I do? Should I tell the police? Tell my boss to say something to him? I don't know.
