Hi all this woman has captured my heart. She treats me well and I treat her well. She respects my boundaries and only asks clarifying questions about them, she isn't trying to push past them. She's incredibly intelligent, strong, crafty, caring, patient, and beautiful.

I'm actually feeling like a good mom today

I just needed to brag on myself for a second, because I am about to make my daughter's life INSANELY better!!!! I have a 2 year old daughter & haven't had any help from her dad for the last year and a half . After multiple bartending gigs, I had finally landed myself a nice office job to give us some nice routine & actually get to spend time with her. That was a huuuuge pay cut though, so I have literally been scraping change by my next paycheck every single pay period. BUT I JUST GOT A JOB OFFER FOR $6 MORE AN HOUR!!! this is literally going to make things so much easier on me, and I am so astonished I even qualify for a job like this. I am so thankful and excited and grateful and overwhelmed :))))))

I don't get enjoying alcohol

When I was in my teens I was told again and again that I'd learn to appreciate the taste of alcohol when I'm older. Well, I'm 32 now and I still find it utterly repellent. It's like drinking nail polish remover or drain cleaner or engine fuel. If you're drinking just to get drunk that's more understandable but I still can't fathom how anyone could enjoy the taste.

Celebration

I just secured a lovely new apartment for me and my cats

I’m finally in an environment not filled with gross memories of my ex bringing a girl to cheat on me with. I turn in the keys tomorrow for that apartment ending that chapter in my life. I’ve been going through a lot mentally and want to really recognize that I did it :”). I tend to forget that I’m accomplishing a lot and making sure I do so. I’m grateful I was able to kick that person out of my life yet still have an incredible job, a beautiful place, and new friends as well as reconnecting with my family more. I’m happy and I can’t wait to see how next year goes as I’m going to focus on my own happiness.

For over 10 years, I've wanted a pair of Timberlands, & today, I got a pair for myself for Christmas!

For over 10 years, I've wanted a pair of Timberlands. I either never had the money, or didn't get them when I was asked what I wanted for my birthday/christmas. My previous job owed me money from ESOP (idk what it is exactly, but was told it's money invested into the company in your name). Today, the check cleared. As a single dad, I may not get much, if anything, this year for Christmas, so I pulled the trigger & got me my first pair of Timbs! I love them to death & have been wearing them all around my house today.

My Spotify Wrapped was boring and predictable.

Not because Spotify did anything wrong, but because I listen to the same 3 bands all the time. My top 5 songs were all on the same album.

I'm trying to get some more variety. I want next year's Wrapped to be surprising and interesting. Give me an artist and I'll listen to one of their albums all the way through. It doesn't matter if they're small and indie or super popular, I just want some different artists on my playlists.

So whatcha got?
